Our stuff 2

This is addressed privately to Messrs Mellor, Woosnam and Lerry.  The third may see it according to the wishes of the first.  The latest situation regarding Mr Lerry is dealt with first.

1       Freedom Motorhomes.  (FMH)

a)      The approach so far in the attempt to engage with the company has been to give it every opportunity to respond.  On Wednesday 23 October, I went to its new location.  Mrs Lerry ordered me off the premises.  I said one of the reasons for coming concerned the table-fittings broken by Mr Rock when we collected the van.  Her reply was “He did not.”. I said I had a witness and told her that it was my son-in-law.  I was again ordered off the premises.

b)      She had said that Mr Lerry would be back in an hour.  In view of the response outlined above, I did not return.

c)      It is clear that FMH has written itself out of the equation.  The only one which applies here is

no progress = further stress = no further attempt.  (3d is relevant.)

2       Website security

2.1    Lunar access

Readers of this page will have used the password provided by Mr Mellor.  It is strongly recommended that it is restricted to executives.

2.2    Public access

2.2a  The website has not been entered into the Google search system.  Lunar computer specialists might find but I have used the Google search box without result.  One enters the detail in the top browser, and, as far as I know, only those who have been given the address will succeed.

2.2b  I undertake not to enter the address into the Google search system until Lunar and I have reached agreement over the way forward.  The same applies to unlocking this page.

2.2c  This is on the Welcome page

PPS – If you have found this site by chance, we’d like you to help us by sending a quick message via the link above.  The main reason is so that we know that it is possible.  You see, we’ve tried to register it or whatever you need to do to enable people to find it easily without success.  Only family know as we’ve sent them the address to go in the top browser.

This was on the “At the Pinnacle" page:

And that’s probably enough.  All you need do is to click items of interest in the side-panel on the right.  Send us your reaction via the link at the top of the page and you’ll see it in ether-print under “Your stuff”.

2.2d  These and similar measures have been taken to find out if anyone ‘wanders in’ or has found the site by whatever means.

2.3    Private access

This is restricted to family and advisors.

3       Website rationale

3a      I have stated I would work toward a 95% positive article and that has been done.  Lunar was previously offered, and again has the opportunity to influence its content.

3b     The website’s central content is for editors’ attention once we are making progress. An editor may decide to publish the address.  We need to look at all the angles.

3c      An editor can consider each page here after finding it/them easily.  She/he will be given the continuous-flow Word file to do the editing job.  The file will be in draft-article format and exclude all the trimmings like the CL page.

3d     The website puts Lunar in a very good light.  Its content is negotiable.  It is obviously imperative that a dealer is in the description.  I leave Lunar to arrange things with Davan or whoever (see footnote).    Even after Item 1 above, I am quite happy to work towards dialogue with FMH.

3e      Lunar is given every chance to say that a specific change was made in the context of my wife being disabled.

3f      The site is deliberately up-beat.

4       Website content and Lunar initial reaction

4.1    Questions

4.1.1           Is the Home Car produced/sold by Lunar?

4.1.2           How many Pinnacles FB are there in use at present and

how many were there in June?

5       The way forward

5.1              Agree a position re FMH.

5.2              Lunar responds positively to my letter to Mr Woosnam.

5.3              Lunar responds positively to the website content.

5.4              Lunar positively responds to my ‘requirements’.

5.5.1           Lunar instructs Ms Burridge to send the items said to

have been sent in September.   The warranty is

   important.

5.5.2           Lunar instructs Ms Burridge to deal with everything

once I have replied to her email.  This has not been

done to give every chance for her to send anything as a

sign that progress has been made in one domain.

My wife and I average 70 and I do not use clichés like ‘in the autumn of life’.  Life is too short anyway for the type of problems we have had over this motorhome.  We are committed to setting it all on a proper footing, a point I have virtually laboured.

Lunars computer specialists could work with us to produce an apparently home-made website which satisfies everyone’s outlook.

Technicians appointed by Lunar could liaise with us to produce the best description of the changes we outline.  We are willing to take the van to, say, Davan, for any work to be done at Lunar’s expense.  We would consider coming to Preston for this function during which time, we could discuss everything in detail.

We await Lunar’s reply to my letter to Mr Woosnam and to Lunar’s response to subsequent activity.

Footnote to 3d

Campbells is a possibility as subsequent readers are unaware of where I live.  However, I extol the virtues of Cotswold Motor Caravans in the website and

 a)  I hope Lunar chooses this company

b)  An approximate geographical position is given of our

whereabouts.  Very approximate and too far from Preston to be

     credible.

If Lunar chooses Campbells, I will remove the Cotswold Page.  It is not there to inflame the situation with FMH and it was not until I went there on 23 October that I realised Cotswold was so close.
