As said before, the lights are bright in certain situations and the bed light above the pillows is fine for reading.  When that call comes at 0300, you need something dimmer so as not to disturb your other half too much.

Fitting a light with low wattage is easy. Any scrap-yard will have one.  Finding a light-dimmer is a challenge and that’s where you can help.  Answers on a postcard please to avrf23@dsl.pipex.com
